I’m not to sure about the ‘intimate’ part however, because I’m pretty sure all of these venues are bigger than that which I saw him play last time he toured here. Oh well.

Bon Iver ‘Beth/Rest (Piano Verison)’
Bon Iver’s album closer ‘Beth/Rest’ has almost certainly been the year’s most divisive indie song. Full of cheesy saxophones and guitar solos, it’s a long way from the sparse Bon Iver sound that we knew and loved. Recently Bon Iver took to the NPR studios to play a completely different arrangement of the song, featuring only Justin Vernon and only a piano. And oh my god the result is just something else.

Acoustic The Jezabels Is Pretty Much Amazing
The Jezabels are my favourite Australian band at the moment, and while their studio music is nothing short of stunning, like all great artists the band really shine when playing live. Up until now I had only ever seen them play with a full compliment of instruments and electronics, however the band recently sat down with the always excellent Off Guard Gigs to perform an acoustic version of their amazing song ‘Hurt Me’.
