Oceanics ‘Jukebox’

Oceanics are a Gold Coast band who make happy indie pop music that’s irresistibly catchy and very, very fun. They make is seem so easy, as well. This year saw the release of their debut EP, ‘Bright People’, which is seemingly full of nothing but singles. Possibly the pick of the bunch is ‘Jukebox’, which perfectly demonstrates everything that’s good about this band.

Little Scout ‘Go Quietly’

Brisbane band Little Scout were responsible for one of my favourite albums of 2011, ‘Take Your Light’, and the band have returned with the first taste of what’s to come when they record their second album later this year. The song is called ‘Go Quietly’, and it was written with The John Steel Singers’ Scott Bromiley and mixed by Lars Stalfors, famous for his work with The Mars Volta.
