Splendour In The Grass is moving back to Byron Bay following a temporary stay at Woodfordia, and there can be no doubt that with the move to a smaller venue there has come a slightly ‘smaller’ lineup, meaning in this case a more pronounced focus on Australia acts and no mammoth names like Coldplay and Kanye (although personally I think the latter is a good thing). Thankfully however there is still a ton of quality to be found here, most notably in headline acts that don’t tour Australia every other year, as well as a pretty impeccable selection of the ‘it’ bands in Australia right now.

Ghoul Call It Quits
Beloved Sydney indie group Ghoul have announced via their Facebook page this afternoon that they are retiring. Admittedly I wasn’t initially a huge fan of the band- until, that is, I saw them live at Splendour In The Grass last year and thought they were absolutely fantastic. I’m definitely disappointed that I won’t get a chance to catch them live again.
