Antonio Paul ‘Into The Night’

Western Australian duo Antonio Paul market themselves as an act capable of providing the perfect soundtrack for a roadtrip, and so far their music has been delivering exactly that. Their first EP, ‘Treasures’ provided a taste of raw, youthful talent, and their latest release, ‘End Of The World’, builds on this significantly without losing any of the energy and excitement. The guys have recently released the second single from ‘End Of The World’, and it’s called ’Into The Night’.

Hip Hatchet ‘American Charm’

No-one seems to know a huge deal about Hip Hatchet. We do know however that, under its current name, the band have existed for a few years, but also that they only really started to garner the fickle attention of the internet late last year with the release of an album entitled ‘Men Who Share My Name’. We also know that Hip Hatchet is currently based in Portland and is primarily the project of musician Philippe Bronchtein. They released a new album a couple of weeks ago.

Walk The Moon ‘Anna Sun’

I discovered Walk The Moon last night by watching my favourite super-awkward late night host, Jimmy Fallon. Jonathan Boulet ‘This Song Is Called Ragged’

Jonathan Boulet released a new song today, the third taste of his upcoming sophomore album ‘We Keep The Beat, Found The Sound, See The Need, Start The Heart’. It’s much more in line with older Jonathan Boulet music than the other songs we’ve heard off the album, and I think it’s kind of fantastic. Listen and download it for free below.

Splendour In The Grass 2012 Lineup

Splendour In The Grass is moving back to Byron Bay following a temporary stay at Woodfordia, and there can be no doubt that with the move to a smaller venue there has come a slightly ‘smaller’ lineup, meaning in this case a more pronounced focus on Australia acts and no mammoth names like Coldplay and Kanye (although personally I think the latter is a good thing). Thankfully however there is still a ton of quality to be found here, most notably in headline acts that don’t tour Australia every other year, as well as a pretty impeccable selection of the ‘it’ bands in Australia right now.

Tin Sparrow ‘My Own’

Sydney band Tin Sparrow have been attracting a fair bit of hype lately, much of it focused on their breakthrough single ’For You’ and an upcoming support slot for a little band called Boy And Bear. It’s hard to believe that the band have only just released their debut EP, ‘Fair And Verdant Woods’. Check out the new single taken off said EP, ’My Own’.
