Walk The Moon ‘Anna Sun’

I discovered Walk The Moon last night by watching my favourite super-awkward late night host, Jimmy Fallon. I had never heard of them before, but the American band put in one hell of a performance on ‘Late Night’, and I was immediately hooked. Having since listened to some of their studio stuff I can safely say that it’s not quite as good as their live show, but it’s still well worth a listen. Here’s the track they performed on Fallon, ’Anna Sun’.

Grouplove Returns

Despite gracing our shores only a few months ago, Grouplove have announced that they will be touring Australia over the new year, playing at the Falls Festival and a string of headline dates. I caught both a headline show and their set at Splendour In The Grass when they were last here, and not only are the a fantastic live band but they’re also the nicest people you could hope to meet. Splendour In The Grass Day Three Review

The final day of Splendour In The Grass is always bittersweet. But the Day Three timetable provided the prefect antidote to our premature feelings of loss, especially since it necessitated constantly moving between the three stages and deciding on a whole range of clashes. This was easily the busiest day of the festival for me, and even looking back now the amount of quality music I witnessed seems almost absurd.

Gig Review: Grouplove @ The Corner Hotel, 2nd August

Rarely do you get a band whose name so perfectly encapsulates everything that they are about as Los Angeles’ Grouplove. Their music is nothing short of brilliant, but yet it really is their energy and obvious love for one another and for their fans that make Grouplove’s live shows so very amazing. And they demonstrated this beautifully last night at the Corner Hotel for their Melbourne Splendour sideshow.
