In the most exciting tour announcement in quite some time, UK band Elbow have revealed that they will be returning to Australia less than a year after absolutely killing it at Splendour In The Grass. And, as if that wasn’t enough, they are also bringing fellow UK band, the excellent Bombay Bicycle Club, with them for the series of shows. This is not a tour to be missed, and it looks like I may just have to break my ‘no festival hall gigs’ policy. Tickets are on sale December 6th.

Grouplove Returns
Despite gracing our shores only a few months ago, Grouplove have announced that they will be touring Australia over the new year, playing at the Falls Festival and a string of headline dates. I caught both a headline show and their set at Splendour In The Grass when they were last here, and not only are the a fantastic live band but they’re also the nicest people you could hope to meet. I cannot recommend strongly enough that you get along to one of these dates if you haven’t seen them live already.

Bon Iver Australian Tour
Big Day Who??? Today’s announcement of the headliners for the Big Day Out festival was overshadowed by the revelation that Bon Iver will be playing at next year’s Golden Plains festival, as well as performing a series of sideshows around the country. Literally the only disappointing thing is the choice of Melbourne venue- it looks like a trip to Sydney (and not the music bowl variety) might be on the cards.
