At a Steve Poltz gig you’re never quite sure whether you’re witnessing an inspired solo show or one man’s slow descent into insanity. This time round, I’m pretty sure it was mostly the latter, however there was also a fair share of moments leaning towards genius as well.

The Twoks ‘240 Volts’
The Twoks play music quite unlike anything I’ve ever heard before, and that in itself is something to be celebrated. Their sound is the perfect fusion of experimentation, pop, jazz, and electronica. Kolac is an electric violinist, and this permeates all of their music to create a very unique and memorable sound.

Gig Review: Foster The People @ The Northcote Social Club, 16th February
Last night LA band Foster The People played a staggeringly good show to a sold out crowd at the Northcote Social Club as a part of their first ever international tour. They showed no signs of their relative youth as a band, instead delivering a flawless and exhilarating set that lived up to the hype and confirmed Foster The People’s position as pretty much the hottest new band in the world right now.
