Big Day Who??? Today’s announcement of the headliners for the Big Day Out festival was overshadowed by the revelation that Bon Iver will be playing at next year’s Golden Plains festival, as well as performing a series of sideshows around the country. Literally the only disappointing thing is the choice of Melbourne venue- it looks like a trip to Sydney (and not the music bowl variety) might be on the cards.

Cloud Control Interview

Baths ‘Exit The Mine’
Baths is the stage name of American electronic musician Will Wiesenfeld who has been making beats-based ambient music under the moniker for the better part of three years. He recently dumped a new track onto Soundcloud, ‘Exit The Mine’, which was apparently recorded solely on his iPad.

Gig Review: Pinback @ The Corner Hotel, 21st August
Playing to an under-capacity crowd on a Sunday night cannot be an easy thing to do. But, for Pinback’s recent show at the Corner Hotel, what the crowd lacked in size they made up for with enthusiasm, obvious love for the band, and appreciation of good music. Combined with Pinback’s unique take on rock music, this made for a very enjoyable and very memorable gig.
