Radical Face ‘A Pound Of Flesh’

Radical Face is Florida musician Ben Cooper. If you think you don’t know of him then you’re mistaken, because he’s the guy behind ‘Welcome Home’, the backing track of this insanely popular Nikon ad that has been doing the rounds on Australian television for the better part of a year. He has recently released a new album, ‘The Roots’, the first part of a planned trilogy of ‘Family Tree’ albums that follow the story of a fictional family. This track, ‘A Pound Of Flesh’, is my personal favourite song off the record.

In fact the last time was probably when I first heard pieces of Bon Iver’s new album. Since then there’s been a lot of cool stuff released, but nothing that powerful and that memorable. I’m talking music you remember hearing for the first time. Anyway, that was the case until I heard the track ‘Video Games’ by Lana Del Rey a couple of days ago.
