The Belligerents ‘Steal Money’

Earlier in the year I posted about The Belligerents’ debut EP ‘Less Arty, More Party’, noting that it was not only wonderfully titled but also a really fun, energetic, and upbeat record. Well the Brisbane band have just released their next single following said EP, a collaboration with dance outfit Mitzi entitled ‘Steal Money’. Lend it your ears.

San Cisco ‘Awkward’

If you read my review of San Cisco’s excellent debut EP ‘Golden Revolver’ then you already know that I’m kind of a big fan of the teenage Perth band. Jónsi ‘Gathering Stories’

Any new track from Sigur Rós frontman Jónsi is a good track, and such is the case with his latest release, ‘Gathering Stories’, which is taken from his upcoming soundtrack to the movie ‘We Bought A Zoo’.

The Kritzlers ‘To Anywhere But Here’

You may have heard of The Kritzlers. Originally from Brisbane, the band migrated to Melbourne earlier this year to release their debut full-length album ‘Cochlear Kill’, which includes a couple of older singles released while the band was still based in Brisbane. Most notable of these older tracks is ‘Scarlet Sometimes’, which received a bit of love from the ol’ Js, and deservedly so. I’ve had a chance to listen to ‘Cochlear Kill’, and while it really is a fantastically strong all-round album, the one track that really stands out to me is the opener, ‘To Anywhere But Here’.
