Jeremy Hunter ‘Belly Of The Whale’

Jeremy Hunter, co-founder of excellent Brisbane ten-piece band Inland Sea, has recorded some solo tunes, and will be releasing five of them as an EP in the near future. Meanwhile a single from the EP, Belly Of The Whale, has been made available for free download via Bandcamp. Those familiar with Inland Sea’s moving, powerful music will have some idea of what to expect here, although naturally Jeremy’s solo music is much more restrained and less complicated than what we’re used to hearing from the Inland Sea ensemble. The most impressive thing however is that it’s no less powerful and no less moving: this is a beautiful song, and illustrates perfectly how solo music can compliment a musician’s primary project.
