Lovett ‘All The Time’

Ben Lovett (NOT also of Mumford And Sons) makes some damn fine solo music. Moreover, he makes a lot of very eclectic and diverse solo music, ranging from upbeat dancefloor fillers to dark grungy numbers. And he does this all within the space of one album, namely his debut LP ‘Highway Collection’, which was released last year and features tracks recorded over the space of three years as he traveled around America. One of these songs is All The Time, and it’s definitely a personal favourite of mine.

Pretty fantastic stuff really, and I think I actually prefer this live version to the studio track, if only because the energy in the room where the band is playing really is palpable. I’d love to see him live someday, but in the meantime you can check out a few of his other tracks (and their accompanying fantastic videos) on his official website.
