Walk Off The Earth ‘Somebody That I Used To Know’

It takes something pretty special to make the most over-played, over-hyped, over-Facebook-statused, and over-covered song sound refreshing and enjoyable, but Canadian band Walk Off The Earth have done just that with Gotye’s Somebody That I Used To Know. Their rendition is very faithful to the original, with one small difference: all five band members play using the same guitar. Have a look.

Even ignoring the rather fantastic gimmick of the shared guitar, this is a really nice cover. And in all fairness I haven’t cashed in on the hit-goldmine that is this song nearly as much as everyone else has, so now is my time. You can purchase this cover here.
