Honey, I’m Home

I’ve been writing about Freelance Whales for ages now, but for some reason my words of praise haven’t yet swept the New York band to Australia’s shores on a wave of frenzied hype for a headline tour. I guess there’s still time, but they’re very high up indeed on my list of bands I want to see live as soon as possible.

Adding to the desire to catch them live is this session that they recorded for music blog The Wild Honey Pie as a part of the ‘Honey I’m Home’ series. They play three of the strongest songs from their stunning and under-appreciated debut album ‘Weathervanes’, namely Generator ^ Second Floor, Ghosting, and Hannah. And best of all, you can listen to the entire session right here, including downloading it for free.
