News: Free Philadelphia Grand Jury Downloads And Tour Dates

The Philly Jays have certainly been busy recently, playing Festivals including Falls, as well as touring as a support act for Franz Ferdinand.

They have also announced that their new single, I Don’t Want To Party (Party) will be released on iTunes March 22nd, and will be accompanied by a remix of the Philly Jays track Wet Winter Holiday by Mike FWD, a new solo track by Berkfinger, Jimmy At The Whorehouse, and a solo jam by drummer Calvin, Both Kinds Of Music.

I Don’t Want To Party (Party) is already a live favourite, with the Philly Jays often finishing gigs with it, accompanied with a manic performance from the three guys which has seen Berkfinger wrap a towel around Calvin’s head (while he was still drumming) and MC Bad Genius jump into the crowd. Suitably then, the band have also announced a headline tour to accompany the single release.

See here for tour dates, accompanied by Pluck favourites, the always excellent John Steel Singers. Melbourne readers can catch the boys at two dates at the East Brunswick Club, as well as at the free Sounds Loud Festival (more details coming later on Pluck) The Philly Jays are heading overseas after the tour, so make sure to catch them while you can.

Click here to download the single I Don’t Want To Party (Party) for free, and here to download b-side Wet Winter Holiday (Mike FWD Remix), also for free. And for a final dose of Philly Jays goodness, if you haven’t already purchased their album, it is availble to stream in its entirity here.
