Just a quick announcement, if you’re planning on attending the Sydney Homebake music festival next Saturday, then be sure to check out the just-announced playing times here.
It’s not the type of schedule that is easily planned, either: note in particular the clash of the last acts of the festival; Eddy Current Suppression Ring, Sarah Blasko, Midnight Juggernauts, and headliners Powderfinger all play at roughly the same time, meaning that punters will only truly be able to experience one of them.
Apart form this clash it could be much worse, although I’m not pleased with the overlap of Paul Dempsey and Red Riders, the two acts I’m most looking forward to seeing. The triple billing of Red Riders, Howling Bells, and then Yves Klein Blue over at the Hopetoun Stage looks in particular inviting.
Also make sure to arrive on time so you can see Pluck favourite Philadelphia Grand Jury rock the main stage in their own unique style, before lunchtime, and don’t forget to check out The Middle East in The Dome from 1pm.
