Hey Geronimo ‘Carbon Affair’
Brisbane band Hey Geronimo’s first single received more attention than I think even the band themselves could have possibly hoped for. Thanks in no small part to an inspired video clip, ‘Why Don’t We Do Something?’ spread like wildfire over the internet, serving to really kickstart the band’s career. Well, they’re back with their second single, ‘Carbon Affair’, another riotous pop song which is instantly likable and very, very fun.

Release The Sunbird ‘Heart-Skinned, Down’
Release The Sunbird is the solo project of Zach Rogue of the Californian band Rogue Wave. Which is a little strange, because you’d think that anyone who names their band after themselves can probably treat it as much like a solo gig as they want. Not that I’m complaining though, because although I’ve never really listened to Rogue Wave I’ve taken a real shine to Release The Sunbird lately, especially their recently released EP entitled ‘Imaginary Summer’. Patrick Wolf Australian Tour
The enigmatic, eccentric, at time slightly mad, always entertaining, and very charismatic Patrick Wolf has announced an “intimate acoustic tour” of Australia this September. I’m not to sure about the ‘intimate’ part however, because I’m pretty sure all of these venues are bigger than that which I saw him play last time he toured here. Oh well.
