San Cisco ‘Awkward’

If you read my review of San Cisco’s excellent debut EP ‘Golden Revolver’ then you already know that I’m kind of a big fan of the teenage Perth band. It should come as no surprise then that I also really like their latest song (I think it’s been floating around for a while but I must have missed it), ‘Awkward’. The track is the first single from their upcoming second EP, which was recorded in Melbourne with producer Steven Schram, responsible for a few small bands like Little Red and The Cat Empire. Active Child ‘Diamond Heart’

Active Child is the moniker of LA electronic musician Pat Grossi, but then if you don’t already know that then you probably don’t listen to a lot of Australian radio, because his debut album ‘You Are All I See’ has been played like crazy lately. Local label Spunk have recently announced that they will be re-releasing the album as a deluxe edition, featuring some new bonus tracks, one of which is the rather stunning ‘Diamond Heart’, which personally I find as good or even better than most of the album itself, which is a high compliment indeed.
