XXYYXX ‘About You’

The incredible XXYYXX, aka Orlanda-based teenager Marcel Everett, has released a new video for his track ’About You’, taken from his latest full-length self-titled album. The track is great, however the music video is a liiittle bit try-hard in my opinion. But then hey, no-one’s perfect. Check it out.

Cub Scouts Video And Tour

I posted about Brisbane band Cub Scouts’ latest single ‘Do You Hear’ a while ago, and even a few weeks later I can confirm that it is still on very high rotation indeed. It’s a delightful, catchy, and very slick track, and the band have just released a music video for it, which you can check out below along with the Soundcloud stream of the song.

Gung Ho ‘Side By Side’

Queensland act Gung Ho have released a new single, the followup to their breakout track ’Twin Rays’. Planet Love Sound ‘My Shadow’

Just like the song itself the video is a little disturbing and chilling, but also very beautiful, polished, and mesmerising. Check it out below, or, if using your eyes as well as your ears isn’t really your thing you can also stream and download it through the Soundcloud player.

Their first EP, ‘Treasures’ provided a taste of raw, youthful talent, and their latest release, ‘End Of The World’, builds on this significantly without losing any of the energy and excitement. The guys have recently released the second single from ‘End Of The World’, and it’s called ’Into The Night’.

Hip Hatchet ‘American Charm’

No-one seems to know a huge deal about Hip Hatchet. We do know however that, under its current name, the band have existed for a few years, but also that they only really started to garner the fickle attention of the internet late last year with the release of an album entitled ‘Men Who Share My Name’. We also know that Hip Hatchet is currently based in Portland and is primarily the project of musician Philippe Bronchtein. They released a new album a couple of weeks ago.
