I’ve been a fan of Tim Hart’s solo music since I saw him open for Sufjan Stevens last year. It was a surprise choice for an opening act, given that most people only knew Tim Hart as the drummer of Boy And Bear. However he played a great little set full of charming and intimate folk music as well as lots of entertaining, gracious banter.

Georgia Fair @ The Toff, 12th Of July
There’s only so much I can say about a Georgia Fair live show that I haven’t already said, given that I think I’ve seen them play nearly ten times now. But the fact that I still really enjoyed Thursday night’s show at The Toff despite that fact shows just how good they are, and also just how much they’ve grown as a band over the last year.

Whale Fire are a band from Little Rock, Arkansas, and they have a new album coming out in the near future. I may not know a whole lot about them, but from what I’ve heard they make nice indie folk/rock/pop/whatever music that flows easily and sounds completely natural.
