Tully On Tully ‘Naked’

Tully On Tully is Melbourne singer/songwriter Natalie Foster and her band. They’ve just released a new single, Naked, as well as their debut music video, and apparently are gearing up to launch their debut album sometime next year. Naked is a very interesting piece of pop music, alternating from brooding to joyous in a heartbeat and then back again just as quickly. It’s an effective method of keeping the listener’s rapt attention, especially coupled with gorgeous vocals and a satisfyingly moody piano line. Comparisons with other female-fronted outfits such as Marina And The Diamonds and Foxes are inevitable, but there’s enough here to suggest that Tully On Tully are more than capable of carving out their own place in the Australian music scene.
