Edit: Earlier than expected, here’s the studio version.
One of my favourite bands in the world, Beirut, have announced that they will release a new single on June the 6th. It will be the first new studio material we’ve heard from the band since 2009’s ‘March Of The Zapotec/Holland EP’. While there is no confirmed date, it has been widely reported that Beirut hope to release a new album this year.
The single in question is called East Harlem, and the band have already played it extensively live so we have a very good idea what to expect. Here’s the version of the song from The Music Hall in Williamsburg, way back in 2009, a performance which was released on CD.
