Arcade Fire (who the fuck are they?) have announced that they will be re-releasing their Grammy-winning ‘The Suburbs’ album as a deluxe edition in early August.
This deluxe edition will include a DVD featuring film clips, behind the scenes footage, and, most importantly, a short film directed by Spike Jonze entitled ‘Scenes From The Suburbs’. Check out the trailer:
Perhaps most exciting however is the news that the deluxe edition will come with two new songs from the band, Culture War and Speaking In Tongues, with the latter featuring David Byrne (who, of course, does his indie collaborations right), and presumably plenty more references to ‘the kids’ and ‘the suburbs’ to make that drinking game even more fun.
Bring it on.
