Groovin’ The Moo Lineup And Thoughts

By now you’ve probably seen the lineup for the 2011 Groovin’ The Moo festival. As a refresher, here it is:

AC Slater
Architecture In Helsinki
Art Vs Science
The Aston Shuffle
Birds of Tokyo
Bliss n Eso
Cut Copy
Darwin Deez
Datarock
Drapht
The Drums
The Go! Team
Gotye
Gyroscope
The Holidays
Horrorshow
House Of Pain
The Jezabels
Nina Las Vegas
Sampology (AV/ DJ set)
Tim & Jean
UNKLE Live
Washington
The Wombats

I certainly won’t be attending the festival after the fiasco of last year, but the lineup in itself is certainly strong. There’s a slice of Laneway (Gotye, Cut Copy, The Holidays etc.), as well as your typical Aussie festival bands in Washington, Tim And Jean and Art Vs Science, plus the best band in the country at the moment, The Jezabels.

I’m not a huge fan of any of the international acts, but The Wombats have that one fun song and it’s good to see The Drums coming back so soon after Splendour. If I had a bit more money and hadn’t experienced the infamous Moo Line of last year, I’d probably be jumping at this.

Saturday 30th April – Prince of Wales Showground, Bendigo
Sunday 1st May – Murray Sports Complex, Townsville
Saturday 7th May – Maitland Showground
Sunday 8th May – The Meadows, Canberra
Saturday 14th May – Hay Park, Bunbury

You can purchase tickets to the Bendigo event here (from Tuesday the 15th, when all tickets go on sale) if you’d like to support this blog.
