New Okkervil River

About a week ago Okkervil River debuted a new song, Wake And Be Fine, on Jimmy Fallon, played with AC Newman and The Roots nonetheless.

Being an Okkervil River song, it is of course brilliant. Missing them last time they were in Australia is still one of my biggest regrets when it comes to music, and I sincerely hope that they will be coming back in the very near future.

Their new album, ‘I Am Very Far’, is due out May 10, and The Fallon video can be viewed here.

Your photo is way out of date. Band members have changed but for Will.

  Yeah I know, I obviously did this post very quickly and couldn’t find an up to date image I was happy with and was high enough res, figured that it didn’t really matter.

I missed them too, because I was too young to go to their Billboard gig. I hope a new album means an Australian tour. The new song sounds great. This year is already shaping up to be a great one for music.
