The Essential EPs Of The Year

This will be my last end of year list, I promise. But when I was sorting out my favourite albums of the year, I realised that much of the music I have listened to this year has been  in the form of EPs rather than albums, especially when it came to Australian music. I won’t trivialise this by putting the EPs in any specific order, so these are just the EPs I highly recommend from this year.

Some are from established artists trying something a bit different, but many are from new acts who are yet to release a debut album, so this can also act as a bit of a ‘bands to watch out for next year’ list.

Antonio Paul – Treasures

Beach House – Zebra

Big Scary – At The Mercy Of The Elements

Boy And Bear – With Emperor Antarctica

The Chemist – Lullabies

Georgia Fair – Times Fly

Girls – Broken Dreams Club

The Honey Month – Foliage

The Jezabels – Dark Storm

Jinja Safari – Jinja Safari

Last Dinosaurs – Back From The Dead

Los Campesinos! – All’s Well That Ends

The Smiles – Hermosa

Sufjan Stevens – All Delighted People

Youth Sounds – The Bit Parts
