The most divisive figure to ever play gentle retro indie pop music, Lana Del Rey, has announced an Australian tour (or at least two dates, anyway), which was fairly predictable given her insane popularity over here at the moment. I wouldn’t be surprised at all if the venues get an upgrade, either, because I can’t see tickets to the Toff show in particular lasting very long. Here are the details.

Elephant Eyes ‘I Want To Know’
Elephant Eyes are a fairly new Melbourne band who have just released their debut single, ‘I Want To Know’, which has already received a bit of love from radio stations PBS, Triple R, and SYN. It’s no surprise either: this is a delicately and superbly crafted track, built around the interplay between alternating lead vocalists Kate McMahon and Stu Hazelman (also of The Hazelman Brothers). Elbow And Bombay Bicycle Club Australian Tour
In the most exciting tour announcement in quite some time, UK band Elbow have revealed that they will be returning to Australia less than a year after absolutely killing it at Splendour In The Grass. The Kritzlers ‘To Anywhere But Here’
You may have heard of The Kritzlers. Originally from Brisbane, the band migrated to Melbourne earlier this year to release their debut full-length album ‘Cochlear Kill’, which includes a couple of older singles released while the band was still based in Brisbane. Most notable of these older tracks is ‘Scarlet Sometimes’, which received a bit of love from the ol’ Js, and deservedly so. I’ve had a chance to listen to ‘Cochlear Kill’, and while it really is a fantastically strong all-round album, the one track that really stands out to me is the opener, ‘To Anywhere But Here’.
