Julia And The Deep Sea Sirens ‘Little Surprises’

Julia And The Deep Sea Sirens are a Canberra-based band dating back to 2005 and fronted by singer/songwriter and, more excitingly, autoharp player Julia Johnson. Their latest single is called Little Surprises and it’s taken from their upcoming album ‘Family Pets’, which is due out later this year. The song grabbed me from the start with that gorgeous, floating instrumental arrangement, and Julia’s vocals are just as superb. This is a gem of a song that feels just as intimate as it does emotional. There’s plenty to like here. Grab the track for free below and catch the band at The Empress on the 12th of October.
