The Trouble With Templeton ‘Six Months In A Cast’

I was first introduced to The Trouble With Templeton a couple of months ago when I saw them (or, as was the case at the time, him) opening for Of Monsters And Men at the Corner Hotel. I was impressed at the sound Brisbane artist Thomas Calder could generate with just his own voice and an acoustic guitar, and his darkly energetic folk music captured the undivided attention of the sizable crowd, which is never easy for a support act. I’ve since checked out the band’s recorded music (because it turns out The Trouble With Templeton is now a five-piece), and was happy to see that the same energy, intensity and passion that defined their live act is also present in their studio stuff. This is demonstrated by their newest single, Six Months In A Cast, which is the first taste of an upcoming album. Listen below and check out the band’s new website.
