Melbourne’s Big Scary have released a new single in the form of Mix Tape, and it’s one of my favourite songs I’ve heard from the duo so far.
It’s a fantastic track with typically uplifting vocals and catchy melodies, driven by keyboard in a similar way to their strongest song, Falling Away. The band’s first genuine full-length album is in the works, but ‘The Four Seasons’, a collection of four of their EPs, is available now. Big Scary are supporting The Grates for their current national tour, and also are opening for Liam Finn during the Melbourne leg of his tour. Mix Tape is available in very a limited CD release from here, as well as digitally from Bandcamp and iTunes.
