Liam Finn Announces New Album And National Tour

Liam Finn’s excellent debut album ‘I’ll Be Lightning’ proved once and for all that the man’s success as a musician was not based on his history or family but rather on his talent. He had a live show to back it up as well, playing a very memorable set at the Falls Festival as well as critically acclaimed headline shows all around the country.

Well he’s back, this time with his followup album, ‘FOMO’, which stands for ‘Fear Of Missing Out’, is out June 17th, and is already receiving very positive reviews. In support of the album he’s heading out on another national tour, with tickets on sale now. Here are the dates:

Melbourne: Friday 19th August – Corner Hotel
Adelaide: Saturday 20th August – Jive Bar
Newcastle: Wednesday 24th August – Cambridge Hotel
Canberra: Thursday 25th August – ANU Bar
Sydney: Friday 26th August – Oxford Art Factory
Brisbane: Saturday 27th August – The Zoo

Check out album closer Jump Your Bones for a taste of what to expect both from ‘FOMO’ and these live shows, as well as from his set at Splendour In The Grass, which I’m eagerly anticipating.
