Arcade Fire Just Played A Festival Set That Will Go Down In History

Wow. I feel like I witnessed something truly special, and I was only watching this via the livestream of Coachella on Youtube. I cannot even begin to imagine how it would have felt to be in the crowd. That was quite simply out of this world. While the show was of course pretty much flawless throughout, everything picked up several pegs with Wake Up, the final song of their main set.

Words cannot express the awesomeness. On the birds-eye livestream you could see literally hundreds of the giant balloons eclipsing the majority of the crowd, changing between bright neon colours to match the song. It was just phenomenal. The band returned for an encore which included Tunnels, but for me this rendition of Wake Up is one of the most amazing things I have ever seen on the internet.

I’m definitely wishing I sold all my worldly possessions and went to Coachella right now.

Props to Brooklynvegan for the screencap.
