Tim And Jean

So after a lot of frustration, I finally managed to get a camping ticket to Splendour through the resale facility. Naturally I celebrated by making an iTunes Splendour playlist and it was 2.2 days long, which got me incredibly excited. Adding to the excitement are the lesser known Australian bands that litter the star-filled lineup and are going to really add depth to the festival.

One of these is Tim And Jean.

Hailing from Western Australian, these guys have an amazing run of shows coming up, including Splendour, supporting Two Door Cinema Club sideshows, supporting Art Vs Science for their national tour, and opening for Operator Please.

They play a really infectious style of electro pop music that you can tell is going to have venues in raptures during their opening sets. They definitely have a real Passion Pit vibe going on (fellow Splendour artists, of course), but there is nothing at all wrong with this, and there’s a bit of Two Door Cinema Club in there as well. This is illustrated perfectly by the very fun Come Around.

I can just imagine these guys playing either the main stage of Splendour early during the day or closing a smaller stage, and either way I think it will be a real party. Check them out, just in case you don’t have enough Splendour music to listen to already.
