This is going to be a no-nonsense post: Melbourne indie band The Good China are good. Very good.
The Good China is an eight-piece collective who have been getting a lot of radio airtime, some enviable opening slots, and plenty of attention from both local and international blogs lately.
It’s for a good reason as well. They play a really infectious blend of happy pop music with some interesting elements that make it just that little bit special, such as the Andrew Bird-esque plucked violin in All Nothing.
You can definitely hear the influence of other large outfits such as Arcade Fire and Broken Social Scene in their music, but ultimately they have created a sound which is all their own. And it’s a dam good sound as well.
Check out the gorgeous We Found 3 Whistles below, and make sure to hit up their official website as well.
