Super Magic Hats ‘Wind’

Melbourne-based producer Super Magic Hats has dropped a new single from an upcoming EP due out next year. The track in question is Wind, and it’s a shining example of what I guess you have to call ‘gentle dance’ music: full of catchy melodies and choppy vocal samples that glide along at an effortless and breezy pace. It all comes off as supremely natural, despite the obvious electronic mastery that has gone into pulling all the elements together coherently. It’s a sound a bit similar to Sydney’s Fishing but there are enough distinguishing features to Super Magic Hats’ music that you can almost say they’ve begun crafting a style all of their own.
