Day 20: A Song That You Listen To When You’re Angry

White Rabbits – Percussion Gun

I’m not angry that often in all honesty, and when I am I’m not usually in a position where I would be listening to music. But I image that if I was angry and listening to my iPod, I’d feel like putting this song on.

There’s something very brutal and primal about White Rabbits’ Percussion Gun. That double-drum beat is just relentless, driving the song furiously onwards with only a brief respite when the keyboard takes over. White Rabbits are one of the best live bands I have ever seen, with a dynamic and exhilarating show which couldn’t fail but to get you rocking out somewhat.

To be honest I’m not really sure what else to add here. While this song certainly wouldn’t relax me or calm me down if I was angry, I think it would be a somewhat cathartic experience and serve as a release of pent-up emotion. Or, it would just make me more angry. One of the two.
